Malaria is a disease of poverty, accounting for over 200 million cases every year and killing one person every minute. The disease continues to affect an entire continent, as the African people and economy are burdened by this preventable and treatable disease. For nearly two centuries, the people of The United Methodist Church have been engaged in partnership with our brothers and sisters in Africa – serving with the poor and creating solutions to these systemic problems.

Anyone wishing to assist financially with the Methodist Church's movement to end deaths from malaria, please send your checks to Portage United Methodist Church, 1804 New Pinery Road, Portage WI 53901 and we will forward it on to the Wisconsin Methodist Conference "Imagine No Malaria" Campaign. Be sure to mark "INM" on the memo line. Thank you!

8:00 – Communion Service
Join us in this very comfortable worship atmosphere. Communion is also at every 8 am service.

9:15 – Come-As-You-Are Service
Don’t think you should have to put on your Jesus-face to worship God?  We have prayer, song and preaching in a casual, intimate setting.  Do you play an instrument?  Bring it along and jam with us as we worship together.  Or, just grab a cup of coffee and join us in the Fireplace Room.  Who says church has to be uptight?

10:30 – Regular Worship
Tired of church that feels more like concert than worship?  Then join us for a celebration rich in what you are craving — inspiring music, both contemporary and traditional; a kid-friendly atmosphere with genuine community; relevant and thought-provoking preaching that will give your soul something to chew on all week.

You are always welcome at the United Methodist Church of Portage!
